1- Identification Job Title: Project Officer Location: Aden Reports to: Project Coordinator, Application Deadline : 7 of August 2026, 2- Overall Purpose/Broad Function: Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, coordination, monitoring and quality assurance of project activities in accordance with the approved work plan, donor requirements, and TYF policies. The Project Officer leads field implementation, supervises Project Assistants, coordinates with stakeholders, ensures timely completion of project documentation, supports planning and reporting, and works closely with internal departments to achieve project objectives. 3- Key Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day implementation of project activities. Supervise and guide Project Assistants. Ensure activities are implemented according to work plans and donor requirements. Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders and service providers. Develop and improve field data collection tools with the MEAL team. Review attendance sheets, reports and supporting documents before submission. Conduct regular field monitoring visits and ensure quality implementation. Track implementation progress and follow up action points. Prepare weekly, monthly and activity reports. Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Logistics, HR and MEAL. Support planning, scheduling and implementation tracking. Identify implementation risks and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, accountability and organizational policies. Maintain complete hardcopy and electronic project documentation. Undertake any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator. 4- Responsibilities/Task Description: Prepare detailed implementation plans and monitor progress against approved timelines. Support beneficiary selection, verification and registration processes. Coordinate organization of trainings, meetings and community events. Monitor trainers, facilitators, consultants and service providers. Verify quality and completeness of field documentation. Ensure timely submission of activity files and reports. Maintain communication with local authorities and relevant stakeholders. Support procurement planning and activity requisitions. Monitor project indicators and provide implementation updates. Support donor monitoring visits and audits. Ensure lessons learned and implementation challenges are documented. Ensure compliance with TYF, DRC and donor procedures. Internal and External Coordination Coordinate with Project Coordinator and internal departments. Liaise with local authorities, community committees and implementing partners. Participate in coordination meetings with donors and stakeholders when requested. General Responsibilities Adhere to TYF policies and humanitarian principles. Maintain confidentiality and integrity. Promote teamwork and timely communication. Comply with safety and security procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline related to project management and community development.. Experience At least 3 years of relevant experience in humanitarian or development projects, preferably donor-funded projects. Technical Skills Project planning and implementation. Monitoring and reporting. Data collection tools (KoBo/ODK/Excel preferred). Microsoft Office proficiency. Coordination and stakeholder engagement. Languages Fluency in Arabic and good working knowledge of English.
