Position Title: Volunteer (Various Roles) Location: Multiple Governorates, Yemen (Aden, Lahj, Al-Dhalea, Abyan, Hadramout, Taiz, other) Reports To: Respective Supervisor Position Type: Volunteer Monthly/Daily/Assignment-based About Action For Humanity (AFH) Action For Humanity International is a non-governmental organization committed to delivering humanitarian assistance, advocating for social justice, and promoting sustainable development in Yemen and other vulnerable regions worldwide. Since its establishment, AFH has responded to urgent humanitarian crises while supporting long-term solutions that improve the well-being and resilience of communities. Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the assigned supervisor, the Volunteer will support the implementation of daily tasks in accordance with approved work plans and/or terms of reference. Assignments may include office-based tasks such as data entry, document archiving, media and documentation, and reporting support, as well as field-based activities including distributions, surveys, and enumeration. The Volunteer is expected to complete tasks accurately and within deadlines, demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and attention to detail. The role may also involve providing general operational support across departments as needed. All Volunteers are required to adhere to AFH’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct, safeguarding standards, and principles of equality and inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities Projects (Field Volunteers) Programs (Office – Assessments & Reporting) MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Media & Communications (Social media, field documentation, photography, storytelling, etc) Finance (Clerks, data, etc) Procurement & Logistics Safety & Security Administration Human Resources Information Technology (IT) Liaison Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in any related field (or relevant experience in the sector). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior internship experience (minimum 3 months) is an advantage. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and typing skills. Willingness and ability to travel within districts when required. Ability to work under pressure and manage the workload effectively. Flexible, adaptable, and respectful team player. Good command of both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is an advantage. Ability to work with limited resources and handle challenging situations. Additional relevant training or online courses related to the NGO sector are an asset.
