Minimum years of relevant work experience 10 Years of professional experience in Yemen’s Fishery Sector. Experience in consultancy with International Organizations. In-depth knowledge of the fishery sector and the wider relevant political and governance structures and institutions of the assigned study region. Experience in stakeholder consultations, capacity development, and workshop facilitation. Versatile in fish identification and acquainted with fish morphometric measurements. Ability to move and travel within the assigned study region and to Aden (if necessary and permissible in terms of security). Grass-roots experience with fishery communities and cooperatives. Good general knowledge of marine ecosystem ecology and trophic networks, Familiarity with fish marketing, processing, and value chains highly desirable. Familiarity with socio-economic assessments and financing in fisheries desirable. Experience in policy analysis, sector diagnostics, or strategy development is an advantage. Experience with institutional assessments, data systems, and/or investment planning in fisheries is desirable. Required Language(s) Decent written and oral English skills, Arabic mother tongue.
