For more information, visit our Arabic website, www.msf-me.org Médecins Sans Frontières France is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit in the Logistics Department in Alsalam Hospital –Khamer, Amran governorate for the following position: BIOMEDICAL TECHANICIAN DAILY WORKER Location: Amran Governorate – Khamer Reporting to: Logistic supervisor (hospital) Performing autonomously and following up, the preventive maintenance and corrective repair of the biomed equipment in Khamer project and ensuring regularly that the usual medical maintenance and cleaning are done properly according to MSF standards and procedures, in order to ensure the equipment are in perfect running condition. In the frame of these activities, he/she will: Managing biomed equipment and carrying out all necessary complex / advanced installation, maintenance and repair of all biomedical equipment in Khamer project on time and ensuring that only few items are out of service at any given time. This includes the following tasks: Installation and Maintenance Tasks: Organizing and carrying out installation of biomedical equipment properly. Following the schedules and carrying out preventive and curative maintenance works for the equipment on time according to MSF and/or manufacturer's protocols, manuals, and recommendations MEMO Tasks: Ensuring that MEMO is always updated on time for all biomed equipment inventory in the project, work orders and work requests with accurate and complete information. Follow up and Training Tasks: Follow up closely and ensure that usage, cleaning and user maintenance of biomed equipment are carried out properly by medical staff according to MSF protocols. Organizing and performing user training for medical staff regularly and/or where required Ensuring that all protocols and checklists for user maintenance and cleaning of biomed equipment are completed with medical staff. Stock Management Tasks: Managing the stock of biomed spare parts and items under his/her responsibility, keeping the list of biomed items always updated with all details, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage. In collaboration with pharmacy manager, ensuring of adequate stock of accessories and consumables in Pharmacy for biomedical equipment in the project. Keep track of the arrival of orders and returned repairs, request information in case of delay and / or emergency. Reporting Tasks: Reporting any issues or problems on biomed equipment to his/her supervisor and proposing solutions (training of staff on a device, operating procedures, etc.). If maintenance work requires further assistance, documentation or additional tools, this shall be requested from and provided by his/her supervisor. Preparing and sharing on time the monthly report (Sitrep) of biomed activities, achievements, challenges and plans for next month to his/her supervisor, with including the updated list of biomed spare parts stock. Biomed Workshop Tasks: Keeping workshops always organized and working areas always clean and tidy. Keeping biomed tools always completed in the specific bag with detailed list of the tools. Ensuring that all record sheets of user trainings attendance, books and protocols of biomed equipment are always completed Requirements: Education Diploma as Biomedical technician is essential Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferable Experience Essential minimum 2 years of Experience in the biomedical field. Previous MSF or other NGOs experience is desirable. Pedagogical and technical skills are desirable. Languages English and Arabic languages are essential.
