Consultant – Sponge City and Urban Flood Resilience, Thailand

Post Title: Consultant for Developing Project Proposals for Sponge City Approaches and Urban Flood Resilience in Thailand Project/Agency: Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery for Building Resilience Team, UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub Country of Assignment: Home based, no travel required. Duration of Assignment: 70 days (September - December 2026) UNDP seeks a qualified consultant to support the development of practical and scalable Sponge City and urban flood resilience solutions in Thailand. The assignment will identify potential pilot cities, assess technical and enabling conditions, and develop project concepts that integrate flood risk management, blue-green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and climate-resilient urban planning. The work will help strengthen climate-resilient urban development in Thailand and support UNDP in developing investment-ready initiatives and partnerships with government, development partners, and other stakeholders.
