ADRA Yemen pursue a mission of changing the world by uplifting one life at a time. ADRA International serves over 100 countries and is present in Yemen since 1995. Its programs are supported by various country-based and international donors. It has presence in different Governorates in Yemen responding to 6 areas of humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, nutrition, WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection. Safeguarding: ADRA Yemen organization is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risks and children in the targeted communities, as well as the welfare of all ADRA Yemen representatives. ADRA Yemen expects the post holder to adhere to and share this commitment. All necessary measures for safer recruitment would be required including thorough background checks. SUMMARY: The Field Assistant will support the daily implementation and supervision of Cash for Work activities related to solid waste collection and environmental cleaning campaigns. The Field Assistant will ensure that participants carry out activities according to the agreed work plan and in compliance with safety procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Takes and maintains accurate daily attendance records for all assigned participants. Distributes of tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided to participants daily and ensure that all participants properly use PPE and adhere to occupational health and safety measures throughout the implementation period. Assists in Filling out MOUs of the Cash for work participants. Reports any operational, protection, safeguarding, safety, or community-related issues affecting implementation to the Field Assistant in a timely manner. Assists in Verifying of identified cases against the criteria of selection and referring potentially eligible households for future Cash for Work cycles along with the assigned field staff. Follows up community cleaning campaigns groups and coordinate with the assigned stakeholders and report accordingly. Supports the Field Assistant in organizing the beneficiaries during the distribution days. Documents the process with photos and reports. Adhere to the organization’s safeguarding framework, including Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child protection, anti-harassment, and ethical conduct policies, ensuring alignment with international standards (e.g., Core Humanitarian Standard, UN CRC). Promptly report safeguarding concerns or violations through designated channels, maintain confidentiality, and participate in mandatory safeguarding training to uphold a safe, inclusive environment for all stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, community development, environmental sciences, or related fields is an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular). Minimum of one year of experience in the same field Fluency in Arabic is required. Knowledge of English, Somali, Oromo, Tigrinya, or Amharic languages is highly desirable and considered a strong asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to supervise and motivate groups of workers. Good record-keeping and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and in challenging field conditions.
