Background The Field Coordinator ensures smooth field-level implementation of all project activities across FSAC, Protection, and WASH sectors while maintaining strong coordination with local authorities and stakeholders. 2. Job Purpose To coordinate field operations, ensure access and clearance from authorities, supervise field teams, manage operational risks, and represent Foundation with relevant. 3. Key Responsibilities A. Coordination with Authorities s Access Management This is a core function of the role. The Field Coordinator shall: Liaise with: Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MOPIC) Executive Unit (ExU) Local Council Security Authorities Obtain all necessary: Sub-agreements Field approvals Security clearances Movement permissions Ensure timely renewal of project permissions. Ensure compliance with local administrative procedures. Maintain official communication records. Represent YARD in district-level coordination meetings. Coordinate donor visits and oversight missions, and attend cluster meetings as required.. B. Field Operations Oversight Ensure adherence to approved workplan. Coordinate distribution schedules. C. Security s Risk Monitoring Inform management of emerging risks. Ensure staff movement compliance with security SOPs. Coordinate with the field team to ensure a safe distribution environment. D. Community Engagement Maintain strong relationships with: Community leaders IDP site managers CBPN members Assist in addressing coordination-related complaints.. E. Inter-Sector Coordination Ensure coordination between FSAC, Protection, and WASH teams. Support beneficiary targeting verification. F. Supervision s Administration Approve weekly field movement plans. Ensure documentation submission. Support logistics coordination at field level. G. Reporting Submit weekly activity reports. Provide access update reports. Document coordination meetings with authorities. Maintain official communication logbook. 4. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related field. Experience Minimum 3 years humanitarian field coordination experience. Experience working with local authorities in Yemen. Experience managing access negotiations. Experience in multi-sector project coordination. Experience in conflict-affected settings. Technical Knowledge Understanding of: Humanitarian coordination mechanisms Government administrative procedures in Yemen Cluster system Security risk management Cash-based programming Skills Strong negotiation skills. Strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills. Ability to manage pressure and complex situations. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Language Fluent Arabic (mandatory). Working English required.
