NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No 284 Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors namely FSL, Education and Child Protection, WASH and Health ,Protection, Shelter and CCCM , and Governance and skill-building Nahda Makers Organization does not tolerate all forms of abuse such as (exploitation, sexual assault, harassment, bullying, discrimination Position : Finance Assistant Reporting to : Finance Officer Sector : Finacne Location : Aden Task and Responsibilities : - Building the project budget matrix in the accounting system. - Reviewing and signing financial purchase requests. - Reviewing financial transactions and ensuring they are error-free. - Preparing checks, bank letters, processing payments, and depositing them in the bank. - Managing cash expenses. - Coordinating with the bank regarding exchange rates, banking transactions, and other related matters. - Processing financial transactions and tracking receipt confirmations. - Analyzing price offers and tenders. - Signing purchase orders and performing three-way matching after review. - Recording financial transactions in the accounting system. - Preparing monthly bank and cash reconciliations. - Monthly expense reconciliation with budget officers. - Preparing financial payment requests and tracking expected disbursements from budget officers. - Preparing financial reports for donors. - Responding to donor inquiries and following up with relevant departments on their comments. - Representing the organization in financial meetings with donors. - Monitoring the budget and keeping project costs within the allowed limits. - Supporting all types of audits (statutory audit, internal audit, donor review/spot checks). Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English. Two years’ experience in finance/accounting positions. Good computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and Knowladge in Computer-Based Financial Systems. Accuracy in the processing of cash transactions, mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. Honesty and integrity in all work activities. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
