Finance Officer Organization: Yanabia Alkhair Foundation (YKF) Position Title: Finance Officer Project: Restoring Dignity and Saving Lives through Integrated Cash and WASH Assistance for Vulnerable IDPs in Al Arah, Al Musaymir, and Tur Al Bahah Sub-districts of Lahj Governorate Duty Station: Aden (with field visits to targeted districts in Lahj Governorate) Contract Type: Full-time (subject to budget availability) Number of Positions: 1 Application Deadline: 11 March 2026 Project Overview The project is implemented in partnership with the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) to enhance the capacity of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities to meet their basic needs. The intervention combines (Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT)multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA)) with improved Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services to ensure a safe and healthy environment Key Responsibilities Ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of all financial and administrative procedures of the project. Provide financial support and guidance to the project team and management. Perform daily accounting tasks and assist in coordinating financial functions and services. Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and final) in compliance with donor requirements (YHF). Ensure all payments are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with organizational policies and donor regulations. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in all financial transactions. Record all financial transactions accurately, completely, and on time. Ensure all transactions are supported by adequate documentation and properly authorized. Prepare regular budget versus actual (variance analysis) reports. Manage project cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and ensure timely fund requests from the donor. Maintain accurate and complete fixed asset records for the project. Monitor advances and loans and ensure timely settlement. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations. Review project accounts and records, reconcile financial reports with budgets, and investigate discrepancies. Implement an appropriate archiving system for financial documents. Review and process payroll payments, ensuring accurate statutory deductions. Conduct field financial monitoring visits and recommend procedural improvements where necessary. Serve as a focal point for coordination with other departments and provide financial support to project management and staff. Facilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explanations, and analyses. Ensure timely monthly and annual account closure. Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of three (3) years of financial and accounting experience with non-governmental organizations (NGOs). • Previous experience in donor-funded projects (e.g., United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Save the Children International, or other international donors) is a strong advantage. • Full proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) in addition to Arabic. • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software. • Good knowledge of local financial and tax regulations. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Commitment to transparency, integrity, and accuracy. • Adherence to Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards and the organization’s Code of Conduct.
