Job title: Finance officer No of positions: 2 Deadline: 20/07/2026 Location: Taiz Duration of Assignment: The employment contract is for one year, renewable based on satisfactory performance evaluation. Who are we? BCFHD is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian and development organization that was established in 1996 aiming at achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Humanitarian Response through implementing various programs and projects that provide humanitarian and development services to the community. BCFHD works in all governorates of the Republic of Yemen in humanitarian and development fields in several key sectors including Food Security & livelihoods, Education, Protection, WASH, and Shelter. General Position Summary: project Accountant will be involved in preparing the payments, reconciliation of distribution, recording all financial transaction into the system, preparing the financial reporting and ensure all payments are supported by sufficient supporting documents. Key Responsibilities 1. Be responsible for preparing the payments, reconciliation of distribution, and recording all financial transaction into the system. 2. Be responsible for preparing the financial reporting and ensure all payments are supported by supporting documents. 3. Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to BCFHD Charity on budget expenditures. 4. Maintains financial records and monitoring systems for reconciliation of expenditures, balances, payments, statements, and other day-to-day transactions and reports 5. Preparing financial reports as requested and according to the project schedules. 6. Follow-up signing of checks and payment orders after making sure that procedures are followed. 7. Prepare cash received vouchers, cash and check payments, and maintains daily cash reconciliation. 8. Oversee the financial operations of the project and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management and financial disbursements. 9. Auditing all financial documents related to the project. Job Requirement A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university Significant experience in financial management in a similar sized organization. Ability and experience of using financial software package and use of other IT software in particular Microsoft applications. Excellent communication skills–verbal and written in Arabic and English including reporting, explaining difficult financial concepts Attention to details, ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision and be able to meet deadlines and to think and plan ahead. Extensive experience of writing financial reports. Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills, ability to work with large amounts of data. Good organization and administration skills to ensure that all documentation is filed on a timely basis and is easily accessible Ability and experience of using Yemen Soft system Comply with BCFHD policies and procedures with respect to code of conduct, child protection, equal opportunities, security and safety, and other relevant policies and procedures.
