Job Information Job Title: FSL Assistant. Location: Aden & Abyan. Contract Type: Full Time. Contract Duration: 5 Month. Start Date: 01 Jan 2026. Job Description: The FSL Assistant will play a critical role in the field implementation of the Food Security and Agriculture (FSAC) component of the multisectoral project in Khanfer, Abyan. The assistant will work closely with the FSL Officer and local communities to ensure the timely and accountable delivery of agricultural and livestock support kits to crisis-affected households. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the FSL Officer in the day-to-day implementation of all FSAC activities, including the distribution of Agriculture Kits and Livestock Kits. Conduct community-level mobilization and verification processes to ensure that beneficiaries are accurately identified against established vulnerability criteria. Support the FSL Officer in planning and managing distribution events, including logistics, crowd control, ensuring documentation, and maintaining security protocols. Conduct regular field visits to monitor the utilization of distributed kits and collect data on key FSL indicators, including Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and baseline/endline data. Act as the primary link between the FSL team and the beneficiary communities, addressing concerns and ensuring clear communication regarding project objectives and entitlements. Provide timely and accurate updates, activity reports, and data inputs to the FSL Officer for inclusion in overall project reporting. Coordinate with local authorities and community leaders in Khanfer to facilitate project access and successful implementation. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum Diploma degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Community Development, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is highly desirable. The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to rural populations (in Arabic). At least 2 years of relevant professional experience working in Food Security and Livelihoods programs, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO context in Yemen. Proven experience in conducting field assessments, beneficiary verification, and managing distributions of in-kind and/or cash/voucher assistance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
