Job title: Integrated Project Manager (THRIVE & WASL Projects) No of positions: 1 Deadline: 20/07/2026 Location: Taiz Governorate (Jabal Habashy, Al-Ma’afer, and Al Misrakh Districts), Yemen Duration of Assignment: The employment contract is for one year, renewable based on performanceWho are we? Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) established in 1996 with the aim of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and providing humanitarian response through the implementation of various programs and projects that deliver humanitarian and development services to the community. BCFHD operates across all governorates of the Republic of Yemen in both humanitarian and development fields within several key sectors, including: Education (FE and NFE), Food Security and Livelihoods, CCCM, Health, Protection (GP – CP – GBV), (WASH), and Shelter. Key Responsibilities 1. Integrated Strategic Leadership & Supervision: Direct and complete supervision of the implementation of all activities under both the THRIVE (SDC-funded) and WASL (EU-funded) projects, ensuring strong programmatic synergy, adherence to work plans, and the implementation of a coherent area-based watershed approach across target districts. 2. Multi-Disciplinary Team Management: Provide direct leadership, technical guidance, and administrative management to the project's field and office teams across consortium partners, fostering a collaborative working environment. 3. Capacity Building & Staff Development: Lead the selection process of project staff and design/execute capacity-building plans for team members, community facilitators, and agricultural extension workers (AEWs) to support the transition to agroecological and resilient farming models. 4. Donor & Multilateral Communication: Act as the primary focal point for all necessary communication regarding both projects with international partners, SDC, EU representatives, and co-funding entities through regular meetings, technical updates, and official correspondence. 5. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance: Ensure both projects are implemented according to pre-planned technical standards, donor guidelines, humanitarian principles, and agroecological/market-system development best practices. 6. Integrated Risk Management: Proactively anticipate, monitor, and record environmental, operational, financial, and conflict-related risks; update risk registers and implement timely mitigation measures (especially regarding natural resource conflicts, elite capture, and market shifts). 7. Comprehensive Reporting & System Management: Responsible for compiling, reviewing, and submitting high-quality narrative and financial reports (monthly, interim, and final) to the donor and partners through the respective reporting systems in a timely manner. 8. Stakeholder & Authority Coordination: Coordinate and maintain strong strategic relations with local and national authorities, including the Directorate of Agriculture and Irrigation (DoAI), the Directorate of Water and Environment (DoWE), MoPIC, and local councils to ensure institutional ownership and local strategy alignment. 9. Cluster and Forum Representation: Represent the organization and the integrated project in relevant coordination bodies, including the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC), water working groups, and governorate-level platforms. 10. Inclusive Women's Economic Empowerment Oversight: Oversee the operationalization of the Women’s Economic Inclusion, Participation, and Safeguarding Action Plan, ensuring that women-headed households, IDPs, Muhamasheen, and women with disabilities safely access tailored livelihood pathways, savings groups (VSLAs), and enterprise development. 11. Market Systems & Value Chain Facilitation: Supervise market-first interventions, including dairy and vegetable value chain assessments, micro-enterprise incubation, piloting cost-sharing and leasing models, and linking community VSLAs to formal financial institutions . 12. Monitoring Support and Transparency: Facilitate third-party monitoring visits, donor evaluations, and audits by providing all requested technical documents, indicator tracking databases (such as RCI and WEES), and operational information. 13. Accountability and Feedback Systems: Ensure the active functionality of the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism (FCRM) across all targeted villages and watersheds, guaranteeing safe, confidential, and survivor-centered handling of feedback. 14. Any other tasks assigned in the same position Required Competencies 1. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Environmental Management, Civil/Water Engineering, or a highly related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Project Management, Rural Development, Agroecology, or International Development. 1. Experience Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in managing complex, multi-sectoral humanitarian and development projects, preferably funded by SDC, EU (DG MENA), ECHO, or other major international donors. Proven experience in implementing Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Agroecology/Climate-Smart Agriculture, Value Chain Development (specifically dairy or vegetable systems), or Women's Economic Empowerment initiatives in Yemen. Experience working within an area-based, watershed, or ecosystem-based adaptation framework is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating Consortium-led projects with national and international NGOs (such as Solidarités International, Al-Twasul, and BCFHD). 2. Skills and Knowledge Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the agroecological principles, Integrated Natural Resource Management (INRM), Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and microfinance models in Yemen. Gender Sensitivity: Strong knowledge of gender-responsive programming, Safeguarding (PSEAH), and methods to mitigate barriers to women's participation in rural economies. Interpersonal & Coordination Skills: Exceptional representation and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with the Directorate of Agriculture and Irrigation (DoAI), local governors, and rural communities. Project Management Tools: Advanced proficiency in logical frameworks, activity sequencing, financial budget monitoring, and indicators tracking (including FAO's RIMA/Resilience Capacity Index and Women’s Economic Empowerment Scales). Conflict Sensitivity: Excellent understanding of the socio-economic and political dynamics in Taiz Governorate, with the ability to apply "Do No Harm" principles in high-pressure environments. 3. Languages Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
