For more information about YGUSSWP, please visit our website at: https://ygusswp.org Job Description The Logistics Assistant is responsible for developing a departmental work plan and overseeing all administrative, logistics, and security aspects related to the implementation of the project. This includes managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely supply of materials to be distributed, and facilitating their transport and storage in compliance with established standards. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies and plans that align with the organization's objectives. Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. Assess and mitigate risks in the logistics chain, ensuring contingency plans are in place to address disruptions. Monitor and analyze logistics operations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations in all procurement activities. Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring adequate inventory for ongoing projects and avoiding overstocking or stockouts. Coordinate the transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery to project sites. Supervise warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of goods. Ensure all logistics and procurement activities comply with local laws, donor requirements, and organizational policies. Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics operations, including procurement, inventory levels, and transportation activities. Qualifications Essential Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or any field related. Minimum of 2-year experience working in Logistics in humanitarian/development context. Substantial knowledge of standard logistics procedures and practices. Basic knowledge of financial and HR procedures. Familiarity working with procurement software. Commitment to the aims and principles of YGUSSWP. English and Arabic language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing). Desirable: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Flexible and able to work well under pressure. Capable of working collaborative with team members to achieve results.
