About SOUL SOUL for Development is a national NGO, founded in February 1997 by a group of Yemeni professionals out of their desire to achieve a higher quality of life for Yemeni women and children. Since its inception, it has implemented over 80 development interventions in 18 out of Yemen's 22 governorates, benefiting over 5, 500,000 people. As a result, the organization has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in Yemen that are working on health, education, and WASH issues in support of women, children, and youth. Operating out of its Headquarters in Sana’a and its offices in Taiz and Aden, SOUL, provides critical educational, health, and WASH services to urban and rural communities. Job Information Job Title: MEAL Field Monitor. Location: Aden & Abyan. Contract Type: Full Time. Contract Duration: 4 Month. Start Date: 01 Jan 2026. Job Description: The MEAL Monitor is responsible for the direct execution of field monitoring, data collection, and basic data quality assurance activities under the guidance of the MEAL Officer. He/she will ensure that all monitoring activities are conducted accurately, ethically, and in a timely manner. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Collect quantitative and qualitative data using established tools (e.g., surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, observations). Conduct close monitoring to the project site’s locations to ensure from the quality of implementing activities such as (water tracking, construction, and distribution activities). Implement monitoring activities, including Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), process monitoring, and field verification of project activities and beneficiary lists, as requested by the MEAL Officer. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all collected field data, performing basic data checks and cleaning before submission for analysis. Assist in data entry and ensuring project data is accurately updated in the project’s database/Management Information System (MIS) or ERP (ERP Next). Support the MEAL Officer and relevant teams in conducting large-scale assessments, including Baseline, End-line, and Market assessment, primarily focusing on data collection efforts. Ensure establishing up the complaint channels and ensure the project information including (project activities, outputs and complaint channels ..etc. ) are well known to the project community. Maintain an organized and secure electronic and hard copy filing system for all field-based MEAL documentation, including signed forms and field reports. Provide concise daily and weekly field reports to the MEAL Officer, highlighting key findings, challenges, and any immediate protection risks identified in the field. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in humanitarian field preferable on monitoring, and data collection Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel for data handling. Ability to work independently in remote field locations and manage time effectively. Willingness to undertake regular and extensive field travel to project sites in Abyan.
