For more information, visit our Arabic website, www.msf-me.org Médecins Sans Frontières France is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit in medical department, Amran governorate for the following position: MOBILE HEALTH ACTIVITY MANAGER Location: Amran Governorate – Khamer Contract type: 6 months contract, with possibility of extension. Reporting to: Project Medical Referent (PMR) Main Purpose: Defining, coordinating and monitoring all external activities to support health programs of Amran project (Malaria intervention, Acute watery diarrhea intervention (ORPs points, CTU), TBA program, PHC…), according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure quality medical care for patients and their communities and to improve the health condition of the population In the frame of these activities he/she will: Together with the PMR and PC, identifying the needs of the external activities in the target population and participating in the definition, planning and updating of the appropriate MSF strategy of the external activities and its budget. Performing initial data collection and establishing base line criteria, analyzing data and mapping the potential problems (e.g. sample collection, adherence problems, difficulty in pharmacy management, etc.) Supervising the external activities interventions. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the monitoring tools and coordinating the implementation of the external activities according to MSF standards, protocols and procedures in order to provide the most appropriate support to the target population. Collecting and analyzing data and documenting the lessons learned. Ensuring continuous networking and active search for partners (e.g. MoH, INGO, other actors, etc.) to guarantee the achievement of External Activities deployment through partnership with one or several other actors. Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, motivation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility, in order to ensure they have the appropriate team in terms of size, capabilities and skills Participating in monthly reports according to guidelines (SitRep, statistical report, etc.) Reporting problematic situations and cases with the PMR and PC in order to help with decision making and resolution of problems MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities MSF Amran Project is supporting Al Salam Hospital in Khamer for 15 years. Al Salam Hospital has 138 beds capacity including: Surgical IPD, Adult ICU, Pediatric IPD, Pediatric ICU, Pediatric ICU, ITFC and Neonatal Unit, Isolation, Maternity, Emergency Room and OT. CTC/CTU from 30-120 beds capacity (depends on the needs) External Activities include Support to with assessment of the health facilities in Khamir districts to identify the areas of intervention of Acute Watery diarrhoea disease (for ORPS, health promotion, CTU). SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: Report to PMR, any information related to outbreak in Amran Governorate (measles, cholera, etc.) Participite in community engagement activity carryout by MoH or other partners in disseminating information on preventative measures. Assess health facilities which may require interventions. Implement and supervise ORPs points in the designated facilities In collaboration with PMR and PC, participate actively on Advocacy strategy. In collaboration with PMR, inform Logistic team of movement plan. Prepare visit report after each Health facility’s visit and update it if needed (Sharepoint) Participate to the update of the External Actors Mapping (Sharepoint) Collaborate with Hospital Medical Team in terms of assessment of trainings needs and data collection for CTC and OTP. Nutrition: follow up with the nutritional activities in the Health facilities, OTP Al salam (stock levels of nutritional commodities, data collection etc ) TBA: Follow up and support TBA activities: regular contacts, visits, meetings, assess training needs and plan for refresher training, Referrals; case discussion in close collaboration with gynaecologist, Midwife supervisor, Midwife manager and Headnurse. Timely Report analysis and sharing. Measles: follow up with measles case management. In close collaboration with HF for measles case reporting and any catch up campaigns activities. In close collaboration with Data supervisor, follow up with origin of hot spots areas. Ensure communication with Hospital Director of health facilities, provide weekly data collection, follow up activities (ER, Maternity, IPD), identify support needed and training needs, collaborate with Pharmacy Manager for the follow up of consumption (medications, supplies, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Education Medical or paramedical background (Nurse or Medical Doctor) Diploma Experience 2 years Previous experience in similar position required Previous experience with MSF or similar organization in the field Languages Local languages and mission languages essential (Arabi and English) Knowledge Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet) Competences People Management and Development Commitment to MSF principles Behavioural Flexibility Results and Quality Orientation Teamwork and Cooperation
