Probationary Period: Three months Reporting to: MEAL Manager About YGUSSWP YGUSSWP is an independent, nonprofit organization that was established in 2011 and started operating at the time of the beginning of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. YGUSSWP has been working tirelessly and a high-quality performance at implementing the humanitarian sectors such as Shelter NFIs/ESKs, WASH, Protection, livelihoods, Health, FSAC, CCCM, Education, and Nutrition. For more information about YGUSSWP, please visit our website at: https://ygusswp.org Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will support the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities across various sectors, including FSAC, Protection, and Shelter. This role ensures timely and accurate data collection, reporting, and documentation for all project activities, contributing to the overall impact and success of the programs. The M&E Assistant will assist in implementing monitoring tools, tracking project progress, and ensuring accountability mechanisms are followed. Role and responsibility of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant Complaint Database: Maintain a database of complaints, documenting all feedback from beneficiaries, and ensuring timely follow-up for resolution. Pre-verification for All Project Activities: Ensure that pre-verification is conducted for all beneficiary lists before distributions or interventions, ensuring that only eligible households or individuals receive aid. DDM and PDM: Lead and coordinate Direct Distribution Monitoring (DDM) during distribution and Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) activities to assess the effectiveness and transparency of interventions. Ensure that feedback is collected and analyzed. Reporting: Provide the following reports: Monthly MEAL Report, summarizing monitoring activities, findings, and progress. Database of complaints, including the resolution of issues raised by beneficiaries. Documentation of each activity implemented, including Pre-verification for all activities and DDM/PDM results. Final Evaluation: Track the progress of activities and support the final evaluation to measure the impact, effectiveness, and sustainability of interventions. Accountability for projects Services: Beneficiary Feedback and Satisfaction: Evaluate levels of satisfaction among all beneficiary groups, including vulnerable groups. The Accountability Officer will visit some households receiving Services to collect feedback. Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM): Monitor awareness and use of the complaint and feedback mechanism among all beneficiaries. Verification and Monitoring: Verify beneficiary lists before distribution and conduct monitoring during and after distribution to ensure transparency. Field Visits: YGUSSWP management will visit implementation sites to gather feedback directly from beneficiaries and oversee the implementation quality and status. Progress Monitoring and Final Evaluation: Track the progress of activities and conduct a final evaluation to measure the impact, effectiveness, and sustainability. Responsibility to the Project implementation . Preparing the project implementation plan Support planning, implementation and follow-up of evaluations by: writing terms of references, preparing project summaries, Track outputs and expected results of the project and the extent of completion of various activities at monthly basis . Ensure the achievement of results and outputs necessary for development and humanitarian response according to the needs of local communities. Develop and design information management systems resulting from monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, such as progress reports, databases and complaint mechanisms. Prepare and process progress and delay indicators for the project on a monthly basis and work out suitable solutions. Field survey, verification, evaluation and data analysis Reporting and Documentation: Review and submit reports to the MEAL Manager on a timely basis, ensuring accurate and complete data across all sectors (fsac, Protection, Shelter NFI ) Ensure timely updates on the Activity Reporting in ActivityInfo platform with sector-specific data, including distributions, activities, and progress in all relevant sectors. Prepare monthly reports covering key achievements, challenges encountered, mitigation measures, and milestones for all sectors. Maintain photographic records to support reports and document progress with proper donor visibility, ensuring that all activities are visually documented for transparency and accountability. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Bachelor Degree in information technology, statistics, business administration, or other discipline relevant to MEAL. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential Experience in designing and conducting training sessions and workshops. Excellent report writing skills. Strong knowledge of project cycle management and M&E. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent English language skills. Strong experience in management of data collection and analysis tools . Ability and willingness to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and building positive relationships with colleagues and supervisors. Desirable: Excellent written and oral communication skills Flexible and able to work well under pressure Capable of working collaborative with team members to achieve results Relates and works well with people from different cultures, genders, religions and backgrounds
