Job Title: Nephrology specialist No of positions: 1 Position Deadline: January 30th, 2026 Probationary Period: Three months Duty Station: Hajjah Gov. Taybah Foundation for Development (TFD): Taybah Foundation for Development is a Yemeni development institution working in the areas of health and education. It was established in 1996 under the license of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 25. Taybah seeks to provide quality health and education services in partnership and cooperation with all concerned and interested parties in accordance with the development plans of local authorities. Job Summary: Provision of healthcare services for renal patients and dialysis unit services, including follow-up of beneficiaries of TFD’s projects, while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality medical services in accordance with approved medical protocols and the policies of Taybah Foundation for Development. This includes diagnosis, treatment, recovery, ordering necessary investigations, scheduling follow-up appointments, and referring patients to specialists when required. Duties and Responsibilities Consult patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, including bacterial and viral infections. Prescribe medications, treatments, and other specialized medical care for the treatment or prevention of diseases or injuries. Explain medical procedures and discuss examination results or prescribed treatments with patients. Monitor patients’ conditions and progress, and reassess treatment plans when necessary. Provide health and preventive advice to patients, including guidance on diet, physical activity, personal hygiene, and disease prevention. Maintain accurate records of individual cases, including patient name, age, diagnosis, recommendations, and required follow-up actions. Document detailed notes on patient appointments, including observations, examinations and/or prescribed treatments, and test results. Supervise the operation of dialysis machines in accordance with approved medical procedures. Ensure the readiness of dialysis machines and medical supplies prior to each dialysis session. Monitor patients’ health status before, during, and after dialysis sessions. Manage any emergency complications that may occur during dialysis. Fully comply with infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures within the dialysis unit. Complete and accurately maintain medical records related to kidney diseases and dialysis sessions. Prepare and submit periodic reports on dialysis unit activities to the project management. Comply with TFD’s policies, regulations, and Code of Conduct. Perform any other duties related to the nature of the position. Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Medicine. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the same field. Practice certificate in the specialty of Nephrology. Successful completion of the Nephrology Certification Examination. Required Skills Strong communication skills with enthusiasm and willingness to continuously learn within the chosen specialty. Computer literacy skills. Experience in teaching and clinical research. Up-to-date and continuous clinical knowledge. Commitment to continuous learning and training. Ability to interact calmly, professionally, and diplomatically with patients and staff. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Strong commitment to medical ethics. High level of accuracy and attention to documentation.
