“Pharmacy Technician – Marib” For our program in Yemen, we are looking for a (Pharmacy Technician), the position will be based in Marib. Position: Pharmacy Technician Status: Full-time Location: Marib Reporting to: Pharmacy Officer Marib Technical Line: Pharmacy Manager Sana’a Job Purpose Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Officer in Marib, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics: Stock management in link with mobile clinics Distribution of drugs to the patients and counseling Reporting and attendance to different meetings Collection and analysis of weekly drugs consumption. TASKS DESCRIPTION: Contribution to an effective stock management Oversee warehouse facilities to ensure optimal storage conditions, including strict adherence to MdM/WHO cold chain protocols for temperature-sensitive products during receipt, storage, and transport. organize the Pharmacy, under the supervision of the Pharmacist with appropriate storage, receiving and packing space and allowing to conduct a full medical inventory Organize the drugs storage according to international standards (route of administration, alphabetical order of International Non-proprietary Name, FEFO principle, clear labeling with INN + dosage + pharmaceutical form + expiry date) Organize drugs and medical supplies for easy distribution and appropriate stock movement records Organize a monthly physical inventory and provide the stock balance at the end of each month to the line Manger. Participating actively in Shipment receptions and preparing the warehouse in collaborations with Log team to ensure the appropriate space will be fit the volume of Shipment Monitor temperature of the pharmacy and fridge on a daily basis and report Immediately to log and line manager and take appropriate action to avoid the expiring of products. Collection the consumption ON a weekly bases and every month from all the targeted health facilities Submitting short /details report to the line manager, about any changing on irregularities in prescriptions consumptions or availability stock at HFs level to be Communicated with Med Supervisors for actions. Communication with MDM HF Supervisors MOH Pharmacies to notify them on any unclear point, missed data and or un relevance or matched data and give the feedback to the line manager as well as the HF supervisors Assisting the project pharmacist on weekly and monthly pharmacy report Alert the pharmacist about pre-expired drugs. Or damaged - Missed items Ensuring that the pharmacy is hygiene clean and secured Update and archive stock and consumption records to be easily provided upon request for any reporting. Assist the Pharmacist in Preparing the Distribution plan for any local orders required from Log or finance department In charge of Preparing clear and correct Information about drugs orders MVT to liaison dept on time to guarantee the movement of supply will be in quality on time Reception and preparation of orders Assist the pharmacist in the following tasks: Order reception: Check quantities and quality of the received items, doing the GRN and shared it with the project Pharmacist. Integrate all the items into physical stock Fill in the stock cards for all the items as the electronic file (Sagastock) Order preparation: Prepare and distribute the drugs according the field requests and project’s needs, Check the rationality of the requests Pack supply requests from the supported facilities and mobile clinics in a timely way Update the stock cards and the electronic file (Saga stock) according to the stock movements Do feedback to the pharmacist in case of any problem with the orders Reporting and attendance to different meetings Prepare weekly activities report to submit to the pharmacist, Participate in a pro-active way to MdM internal meetings (medical, security…) REQUIRED (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES) & QUALIFICATIONS Qualification required: Diploma or College Degree in Pharmacology or related Medical Field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Skills required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position with INGOs. Personal skills required: Computer Skills in using Microsoft Office such as (Word and Excel). Excellent Communication Skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent English Skills. Experience working in humanitarian emergency settings is an asset
