ABOUT RI: 1. Context Relief International (RI) is an international non-profit organization that partners with communities impacted by conflict, climate change and disaster to save lives, build greater resilience and promote long-term health and wellbeing. Our team of more than 7,000 staff and local volunteers work in 15 countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, providing Health and Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Education and Livelihoods programming that creates the foundation for community resilience. We do this by working with local actors to develop safe and inclusive local programming that is evidence based, conflict sensitive, climate smart, and reaches those in need. Relief International is an alliance of four organizations with one shared mission, comprised of Relief International, Inc., Relief International-France, Relief International-UK and Relief International-Europe, which operate under a one-team concept under a single senior leadership team. 2. Job Profile Under the supervision of Program Manager-North Hub, the Health and Nutrition Program Coordinator will dedicate 100% of his/her time leading, coordinating and ensuring the high quality implementation of all Health and Nutrition program activities in the area of assignment, as well as management of day-to-day field activities and ensuring timely reporting and compliance with donor rules and regulations and assisting in new funding opportunities. The Program Coordinator will participate in strengthen relationships with partners in program targeted areas. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in representing RI at sub-cluster meetings, workshops and technical working groups meetings in areas of assignment. 3. Key Responsibilities Technical Ensure quality and timely field level implementation of the Health and Nutrition program, against set objectives, targets, work plans and budget. Work closely with Program Manager and Health and Nutrition Technical Advisor to draft supervision guidelines to ensure quality delivery of services at targeted health facilities. Participate in drafting and revision of treatment protocols and ensuring that implementation is in accordance national guidelines. Conduct field assessments, identifying potential needs, designing and implementing response plans. Mentor and coach the health and nutrition teams in the area of assignment, conducting regular filed supportive supervision, and provide on-the-job training for program staff and health facility workers. Coordinate with the Program Manager, Deputy Area Manager, TAs, and MEAL department on trainings and implementation for programs surveys/study (e.g. Satisfaction surveys, KAP, SMART, SQUEAC, KPC). Support regular health and nutrition program evaluations, rapid assessments identifying needs and making practical recommendations onto address them. Coordinate with the Referral department to ensure referred cases are receiving proper treatments and high quality of service delivery at referral health facilities in the area of assignment. Enhance integration of health and nutrition activities with other key programs and coordinate with officers and coordinators in the area of assignment on establishment of integrated service provision. Work closely with Program Manager, Deputy Area Manager and Technical Advisor to facilitate the conducting of focus group discussions with relevant communities for feedback on program activities. Program Management Lead the health and nutrition team in the area of assignment and working with the Program Officer supervise program implementation. Conduct regular meetings with program staff and share weekly and monthly progress reports with Program Manager. In close coordination with Program Manager, Deputy Area Manager, Liaison Coordinator prepare and share monthly, quarterly, annual and other reports required by MoH, GHO and local authorities. In close coordination with Program Manager, Deputy Area Manager and TAs the Program Coordinator will support drafting the donor reports and provide essential supportive documents. Oversee health and nutrition job description reviews, recruitment, orientation and performance reviews for the health and nutrition team under his/her direct supervision. Develop program weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activity work plans based on the program work plan and implement activities in a timely manner. Ensure successful implementation of program activities and budget management according to program outputs and results. Under direct supervision of Program Manager, coordinate with the MEAL department in compiling program reports, regular analysis trends and how to improve quality of reporting and program outputs. Coordinate with the Information Management Officer to review program reporting indicators and reporting tools and ensure program targets are met using indicator / activity tracking tables. Coordinate with the Logistics department to improve supply chain management and accountability for health and nutrition supplies. In consultation with Program Manager and technical leads, contribute to development of project proposals and project budgets. Provide role cover for the Program Manager in his/her absence, or as requested by the Program Manager. Participate in relevant sub-coordination meetings/clusters, participate in collaboration and building strong relationships with other implementing partners in the area of assignment. Support local program supervision visits from donors, GHO, MoH or authorities or any other relevant parties as assigned by the Program Manager. Work constructively with support teams to ensure sound administrative practices with regards to record keeping, compliance with donor regulations, communications, etc. Perform any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor. 4. Qualifications & Skills Requirements Bachelor degree in medicine, nutrition, or any health/nutrition relevant field. Minimum 4 years of previous experience managing complex emergency projects for INGOs. Willing to travel frequently (daily) to different locations in areas of assignment. Strong field program management experience, familiarity with multiple donors (UNOCHA, UNFPA, OFDA, ECHO, UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, GAC, WFP,). Very good written English and ability to write good quality reports. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated, results-driven and excellent sense of organization and a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to perform in a demanding, fast paced environment. Strong team management skills and ability to relate to and effectively motivate staff. Ability to represent RI in high-level meetings. Sense of neutrality and ability to work across Yemen, in cooperation with all sides of the conflict. 5.
