ADRA Yemen pursue a mission of changing the world by uplifting one life at a time. ADRA International serves over 100 countries and is present in Yemen since 1995. Its programs are supported by various country-based and international donors. It has presence in different Governorates in Yemen responding to 6 areas of humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, nutrition, WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection. Safeguarding: ADRA Yemen organization is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risks and children in the targeted communities, as well as the welfare of all ADRA Yemen representatives. SUMMARY: The Project Coordinator will ensure safe, inclusive, and high-quality delivery of child protection, GBV prevention and response, and education interventions in line with humanitarian and development standards. The role ensures activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope, in alignment with organizational policies, humanitarian standards, and applicable guidelines. The coordinator directly manages three staff members, oversees the work of volunteers, ensures robust accountability and safeguarding mechanisms, coordinates with relevant stakeholders, and represents the project in technical and coordination forums. RESPONSIBILITIES: The “Project Coordinator” will be responsible, but not limited to: Project Implementation & Team Leadership Lead planning and execution of protection and education activities (Child-Friendly Spaces, Safe Spaces, case management, non-formal/accelerated learning, life skills programs). Supervise and support technical staff (Education, Protection, Social Workers) and community volunteers. Ensure integration of safeguarding, PSEA, gender equality, disability inclusion, and Do No Harm principles. Maintain safe referral pathways for children and women requiring specialized services. Budget & Compliance Manage project budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies. Oversee procurement of education and protection materials. Ensure accurate financial tracking and timely reporting. Monitoring, Accountability & Reporting Ensure high-quality, ethical data collection and protection-sensitive documentation. Work closely with MEAL teams to track progress against education and protection indicators. Produce timely donor and internal reports, including outcome tracking and success stories. Ensure accessible feedback and complaints mechanisms for children and women. Coordination & Representation Represent the project in Protection, Child Protection, GBV, and Education coordination platforms. Maintain strong partnerships with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, schools, and community leaders. Support partner capacity strengthening where applicable. Quality & Standards Ensure programming aligns with national policies and international standards (CPMS, GBV Minimum Standards, INEE, Sphere, CHS). Promote safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive learning and protection environments. Safeguarding Adhere to the organization’s safeguarding framework, including Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child protection, anti-harassment, and ethical conduct policies, ensuring alignment with international standards (e.g., Core Humanitarian Standard, UN CRC). Promptly report safeguarding concerns or violations through designated channels, maintain confidentiality, and participate in mandatory safeguarding training to uphold a safe, inclusive environment for all stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, International Development, Gender Studies, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 4 years of experience managing protection and/or education projects in humanitarian or development contexts. Experience in child protection case management and/or GBV programming. Strong budget management and donor reporting experience. Demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding, PSEA, and protection mainstreaming. Experience working with vulnerable children, adolescent girls, and women. Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
