Project Field Assistant (3 Positions) Organization: Yanabia Al-Khair Charity Foundation (YKF) Job Title: Project Field Assistant Project: Restoring Dignity and Saving Lives through Integrated Cash and WASH Assistance for Vulnerable IDPs in Al Arah, Al Musaymir, and Tur Al Bahah Sub-districts of Lahj Governorate Number of Vacancies: 3 Assistants Work Locations: Tur Al-Bahah, Al-Madharibah Wa Al-Aarah, and Al-Musaymir districts (Lahj Governorate) – one assistant per district with permanent field presence. Contract Type: Full-time (subject to budget) Contract Duration: 7 months Application Deadline: March 15, 2026 Project Background: The project is implemented in partnership with the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) to enhance the capacity of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities to meet their basic needs. The intervention combines (unconditional cash transfer (UCT)multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA)) with improved Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Key Responsibilities: Support Field Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of all project activities in the assigned district, including: Cash Assistance Activities (UCT & MPCA): Support beneficiary registration, field verification, and coordination with Financial Service Providers (FSPs) during disbursement. WASH Activities: Monitor daily construction works (water networks, sewage systems, latrine rehabilitation) in coordination with the WASH team and contractors. Community Coordination: Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, camp committees, and the local community to facilitate the smooth implementation of activities and ensure community acceptance. Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor daily field activities, document progress through daily reports and photos, and report to the relevant Project Officers (Cash or WASH). Support Data Collection: Assist in collecting field data for surveys (e.g., baseline, PDM) in coordination with the MEAL team. Report Challenges: Immediately report any field challenges, obstacles, or needs to the direct supervisor. Compliance: Adhere to Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards and the Code of Conduct, and report any violations. Qualifications and Experience: Education: At least a diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred) in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Administration, Development, Engineering (for WASH follow-up), or any other related discipline. Experience: At least one year of field experience with civil society organizations, preferably in humanitarian assistance projects (cash or WASH). Local Knowledge: Good knowledge of local communities in the district applying for. Preference will be strongly given to candidates residing in the targeted district to ensure continuity and effective field presence. Basic Skills: Excellent communication skills with the local community and team. Ability to work in various field conditions and under pressure. Organizational skills and ability to manage time and complete tasks. Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel) and familiarity with smartphone applications (experience with data collection apps like Kobo is an advantage). Language: Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written); basic knowledge of English is an added advantage.
