Position Title: Projects Manager Location: Sana'a, Yemen (with field visits to project locations as needed) Employment Type: Full time Contract Duration: 8 Months Background: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is a nonprofit organization assisting vulnerable communities globally. It offers life-saving aid during emergencies, improves health care services, and focuses on disaster preparedness and resilience. QRCS is recruiting a Projects Manager for its operations in Yemen, specifically for two projects in Health and Nutrition. Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management & Reporting: Lead the overall projects’ management responsibility. Start-up, monitor, and evaluate activity plans and implementation. Produce monthly specific internal reports and develop mid-term and final reports as per Donor regulations. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the QRCS head of program and sector coordinators for work planning and project supervision. Manage the relationship with all stakeholders. Represent QRCS in cluster meetings (if needed). Resource & Risk Management: Ensure resource availability and allocation. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Team Management: Provide support and supervision to project staff. Delegate tasks based on staff members’ strengths and experience levels. Operational Management: Coordinate with the logistic officer for logistical procedures, ensuring QRCS and donor procurement requirements are met. Ensure regular data collection to monitor agreed indicators. Conduct rapid assessments in project governorates for further programming opportunities. Capacity Building: Enhance QRCS’s capabilities in shelter programs during emergencies, including staff training with support from senior management. Collaborate with the mission relief teams to fortify these sectors within QRCS. Financial Management: Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. Other: Develop comprehensive project plans for sharing with relevant stakeholders. Maintain complete project documentation. Take ownership of varied project activities, including quality improvement and community campaigns. Integration between these projects and other QRCS projects to support the organization's activities and quality deliverables. Qualifications & Skills: University degree, minimum bachelor's, in Management, Social Science, International Development, Disaster Management, or related field. A master’s degree is preferable. Minimum of 3 years as a project manager; experience with a multi-sector approach preferred. Technical background in shelter, health, nutrition, and RRMS-related projects. Proficiency in MS Office. Demonstrated ability in staff supervision and remote management. Experience with monitoring tools and systems. Willingness for basic living standards and regular field missions. Fluent in English. Familiarity with diverse field concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan and lead tasks and teams. Proactiveness in exploring new tasks and adding value to job responsibilities.
