Quality Management Officer Vacancy in NPA Yemen Duty Station: South/Aden Start date: As Soon As Possible Ref: QMO /2025 Posted: 1 Oct 25 Closing: 15 Oct. 25 Line manager: Country Director NPA is seeking a Quality Management Officer for the office in Aden, Yemen Responsibilities. General responsibilities: Design and maintain the annual Quality Management (QM) Plan Carry out Quality Management Activities (QA, QC) IAW the QM Plan Work with CD and IM to develop and maintain a QM dashboard to monitor trends Follow up on corrective actions for non-conformities Conduct or assist TFM/OM with the conduct of operational investigations Attend YMACC or other external QM visits and be the focal point for YMACC QM team Specific duties: Conduct site visits on task sites in Yemen (NTS/TS) and carry out QA activities Conduct QC activities on completed Hazardous Area by NPA operational assets Support CD/OM in preparing, updating and monitoring adherence to the QM plan Prepare and maintain written records of all Quality Management activities Manage and administer the selected QA/QC team members (if applicable) Consult the Operations Manager on any technical issues or advice needed Keep the CD and Operations manager updated on plans, changes and current events Any other task or duty as assigned by the CD Other Duties : Monitor and assess the quality of training conducted, if required by the CD Support with instruction on training courses if requested by OM/approved by CD Be able to travel in or outside of Yemen for any operational workshops or training Support creation of dashboards/trackers for quality metrics monitoring Required qualification Education Have at least 3 years’ experience at a leadership level within mine action. Good computer skills essential and experience in MS Office applications. Proficient in written and verbal English. Valid Driving license with driving experience, manual and/or automatic vehicles. Experience He/she must have experience as an NPA Team Leader or higher Sound understanding of Land Release and the Toolbox approach Sound understanding of IMAS, NMAS, and SOPs related to Quality Management Desirable: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in NGOs or similar environments. Experience in conducting conventional Minefield and BAC activities Personal Competencies: Must be of high integrity, one standard for all NPA staff regarding non-conformities Strong communication and interpersonal and leadership skills. Systematic and organized in approach, with ability to work on own initiative including accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
